In the first round of the championship Kilruane MacDonaghs take on Roscrea in Toomevara on this Sunday, 15th October at 3.00pm. Your support would be appreciated.

 

Under 11

MacDonaghs participated in the Martin O’Leary Tournament in Kilcolman on last Saturday along with Burgess, Kiladangan and Portroe. After a great morning’s hurling MacDonaghs claimed the trophy which was presented by Aidan O’Leary to captain Eamonn Coonan. Tipperary and Burgess star Donagh Maher presented the medals. Thanks to Burgess for the invitation and their hospitality on the day.

 

Inter County

Congratulations to Damian Lawlor who has been appointed a selector with the Tipperary U20 football team.

 

County Draw

Congratulations to Mikey Brennan Jr., MacDonagh Avenue and Mick Hogan, Ballingarry who won €200 each in the County Draw.

 

Night at the Dogs

The Camogie club and Lahorna Handball club are organising a “Night at the Dogs” in Thurles Greyhound Stadium on this Saturday, 14th October. Tickets cost €10 and are available from committee members of both clubs. The ticket entitles the purchaser to a race card and entry to the Buster Race competition which has a jackpot prize of €500. This promises to be a great night for all the family with free entry for U16s.

Congratulations to Jerome Cahill (Lahorna) and James Prentice (Ballina) who won the All-Ireland minor softball doubles in Croke Park after a thrilling victory in a marathon contest against Galway in Croke Park.
