MacDonaghs take on Newport in the first round of the championship in Toomevara on this Saturday, 29th October at 1.00pm. Your support would be appreciated.

 

Cumann na mBunscol

Congratulations to Cloughjordan Schools on overcoming Dunkerrin N.S. in the North football final on a 7-5 to 3-6 scoreline in Moneygall. They qualified for the county final with a 6-5 to 4-4 victory over Drangan. They will face Cappawhite N.S. in the county final.

 

Under 10

The U10s brought the curtain down on a busy year with a visit to Scariff last Saturday. They participated in a blitz with Feakle and Scariff/Ogonnelloe. Thanks to Scariff for their hospitality on the day.

 

Under 8                                                                                                                                                                       

On last Friday night the U8s had their final gathering of the season. All-Ireland medal winners Niall O’Meara, Cian Darcy and Jerome Cahill were in attendance and they brought the Irish Press Cup with them. The thirty-one members of the panel were presented with medals. Assistant coaches Seamus O’Meara, Eoin O’Meara, Eoin Carroll, Kevin Naughnane and Louis Kennedy were presented with mementoes to acknowledge their help during the year. Refreshments were served and all present had a wonderful night. Down Your Way

Eamon O’Dwyer recorded an edition of his popular “Down Your Way” programme at the club history launch. It will be aired on Tipp FM on this Thursday at 7.00pm with a repeat on Saturday morning at 11.00am.

 

North Convention

The North Tipperary GAA Board Convention will be held in the clubroom on Thursday, 8th December.

 

Table Quiz

Ardcroney Community Field are holding a Table Quiz in Ardcroney Hall on Friday, 28th October at 8.30pm. Proceeds go towards maintaining the facilities. All support appreciated. A table of four costs €20.

Handball
James Loughnane, representing Nenagh CBS, had a good win in the recent under 15 county final and went on to play the Munster championship in Hospital, Limerick. In the semi-final he defeated a player from St. Augustine’s, Dungarvan 20-16 and went on to win the final against his opponent from St. Anne’s, Killaloe. In the under 17 section Borrisokane Community College's Sean McAdams had a bye into the final where he faced the reigning Munster champion from Tralee CBS. Sean started strongly, taking an early lead, and went on to win 17-12. Best of luck to Sean and James in the All-Ireland semi-finals next weekend.
