Senior

In the second round of the County League MacDonaghs will be at home to Kiladangan on this Saturday, 25th March at 4.00pm.

 

Junior

The first round league game against Burgess, fixed for Kilcolman, was called off because of treacherous underfoot conditions. The second round game against Borris-Ileigh has been pencilled in for Saturday, 1st April in MacDonagh Park at 7.00pm. No date has been finalised for the Burgess game.

 

Minor

The first round football game against Ballina was postponed. On next Sunday MacDonaghs are away to Portroe at 2.00pm.

 

Under 16

The scheduled football game against Nenagh Éire Óg fell foul of the unfavourable weather.

 

Under 12

Our teams had mixed fortunes in the second round. MacDonaghs (Dubh) chalked up a 4-3 to 2-1 home victory over Newport on Saturday in MacDonagh Park. In the first half the Magpies played with the wind and were 3-1 to 2-0 to the good. In the second MacDonaghs came under strong pressure but held out well to add 1-2 to the tally. Our thanks to Newport for a good sporting game.Team: Cathal McIntyre, Cian Moyles, Cian Hayes (1-0), Peter Flannery (0-1), Simon Austin, Colm McAteer, Liam Foley, Brian O’Meara (2-1), Cillian Healy (1-0), Paul Molloy, Ray Quinlivan (0-1) and Donncha O’Meara. MacDonaghs (Bán) lost out to a stronger Moneygall outfit in Moneygall. Team: Darragh Spillane, Cathal England, Daniel Cahalan, Jack Mulcahy, John Quinlisk, Eoin O Neill , Tristan Madden, David Persse, Tom Austin (1-0), Andrew Hayes, Conal Daly, Eamon Coonan (0-1) and  John Hannan.

Membership

Supporters are reminded that the 31st March deadline for renewal of membership is looming ever nearer. The following fees apply for 2017: adult players €50; non playing adults €30; juveniles and minors €30. Membership cards are now available. Membership is compulsory for all players, both juvenile and adult.

 

Club Package

The following special €200 club packages offer savings to all our members: (1) Adult players can join the weekly Club Lotto, County Draw and renew membership for €200; (2) Non playing adults can join the Club Lotto, County Draw and renew membership for €200; (3) Parents of juveniles will be given one annual Club Lotto and one County Draw subscription plus family membership for €200. In effect, all who avail of these packages will have free membership in addition to annual Lotto and County Draw subscriptions. A family of two adults and two juveniles can make a saving of €120. Anybody availing of this package will be entered into a draw for two All-Ireland hurling tickets.
