Adjourned AGM

A very productive Adjourned AGM was held on last Friday. The management teams were all finalised: Senior - Billy O’Shea (Manager, Shane McGrath (Coach) and Kevin O’Brien; Junior - Paddy Williams (Manager), Damien Franks, Ruan Casey and Declan Souch; U21 - Brian O’Meara (Manager), Ned Darcy and Tom Killackey; Minor – Liam O’Kelly (Manager), Niall O’Meara (Coach), Damian Mulcahy and Éanna Hogan. The meeting also appointed the following: Barney Naughnane (Coaching Officer); Carmel Daly (Registrar); and Seán Ward (ASAP Officer). The meeting decided to embark on a major fundraising venture in early March. The Finance Committee will finalise details and the club is confident that all members will rally behind the fundraiser.

 

Juvenile AGM

The AGM of the juvenile club will be held in the clubroom on this Friday, 20th January at 8.00pm. Everybody interested in the promotion of juvenile games in the parish is asked to attend. New members are particularly welcome. The club will provide training for all who want to become involved in coaching.

 

Child Welfare Course

The juvenile club is organising a Child Welfare Course in the clubroom on Thursday, 26th January at 6.45pm. This course is mandatory for all coaches and mentors who are involved with underage teams or with adult teams that have minors on the panel. Please contact Michael O’Meara 087-2474768 to confirm your attendance.

 

Membership

The following membership fees will apply for 2017: adult players €50; non playing adults €30; juveniles and minors €30. Membership cards are now available. The deadline for renewal of membership is 31st March. Membership is compulsory for all players, both juvenile and adult.

 

Club Package

The following special €200 club packages offer savings to all our members: (1) Adult players can join the weekly Club Lotto, County Draw and renew membership for €200; (2) Non playing adults can join the Club Lotto, County Draw and renew membership for €200; (3) Parents of juveniles will be given one annual Club Lotto and one County Draw subscription plus family membership for €200. In effect, all who avail of these packages will have free membership in addition to annual Lotto and County Draw subscriptions. A family of two adults and two juveniles can make a saving of €120. Anybody availing of this package will be entered into a draw for two All-Ireland hurling tickets.

 

Sympathy

The club extends sympathy to: Bernie Banaghan and the Tierney family on the death of MB Kennedy (nee Tierney), Clonakenny and formerly Cloughjordan; the O’Neill  family, Middlewalk, Cloughjordan on the death of Nuala O’Neill; and the family of the late Seamus Malone, Corner House, Cloughjordan.
