U17
A 3-21 to 1-14 victory over Moneygall in Roscrea secured a place in the final against Borris-Ileigh. This was our best display of the season against a Moneygall side that was without one of its most influential players. We led 1-12 to 1-9 at the interval with the goal coming from Cian Moyles. The game was in the balance until two late goals from Ray Quinlivan put daylight between the sides.

County Finals
The County finals are scheduled for this Sunday, 18th September, in Clonoulty. In the ‘D’ final, we play Rockwell Rovers at 10.30am with the ‘A’ team up against Cashel at 12.00pm. Best of luck to our teams and management. Rockwell will be backboned by players who have attended New Inn NS. Last year, Kilruane NS U11 had a mighty tussle with New Inn in the County semi-final, so our lads will have to be on their toes from the throw-in if they want to retain their title. Before a ball was pucked in the ‘A’ championship, Cashel have been touted as County champions. They have swept all before them on their path to the final, so our players will have to dig deeper than ever before to grind out a result.
We are appealing to all our supporters to get to Clonoulty to support both teams. We had tremendous vocal support at the U17 final. We would like that support to be replicated on Sunday in Clonoulty.

Sympathy
The club extends sympathy to the family of the late John Kelly, Cappawhite. John played with Kilruane MacDonaghs in 1972 and 1973. He lined out at full-back on the team that contested the 1973 North and County finals. Sympathy is also extended to Sarah, Donall, Shane, the Higgins, Burke & Quinlan families on the death of Adam Higgins, Caherlistrane, Galway and to the family of the late Theresa Reddan (née Walsh), Main Street and Templemore Road, Cloughjordan.
