Kilruane MacDonaghs Notes November 14th 2022
We will play Cappawhite in the County Junior ‘B’ football semi-final on Sunday, 27th November in Newport at 1.00pm
In the first round of the hurling championship we play to Lorrha/Rovers in Lorrha on this Saturday, 19th November at 3.00pm.
A 5-2 to 1-8 victory over Moneygall/Clonakenny in Moneygall secured a place in the final against Silvermines. Three goals in the opening quarter laid the foundation for victory. The final is scheduled for this Saturday in Ballina at 12.00.
Last week the senior hurlers visited all the local primary schools with the Dan Breen Cup. They were given an enthusiastic reception by the pupils and teachers. Thanks to the players and management who made themselves available for the visits.
In response to public demand we are facilitating the purchase of club gear. On this Sunday, 20th November Bourke Sports will be in attendance in the Clubroom between 5.00 and 7.00pm with samples of Kilruane MacDonaghs gear. This is the last day to order to guarantee delivery before Christmas. Senior players will be in attendance with the Dan Breen Cup so there will be an opportunity for photos. Even if you don’t wish to order gear you are invited to attend to meet the players. Refreshments will be served.
The Annual General Meeting will be held in the Clubroom on Friday, 2nd December at 8.00pm. Mass for deceased members will be celebrated in Cloughjordan Church on Sunday, 4th December at 11.00am. Nomination forms are available on the Website or you can email secretary.kilruanemacdonaghs.Tipperary@gaa.ie to obtain one. Forms must be returned to Secretary Martina Cleary by 9.00pm on Sunday, 27th November.
The Jackpot now stands at a very attractive €3,000. Tickets are available from the usual outlets or you can join on Clubforce.com. Thanks for your continued support.
