15 Football

In the North ’B’ final, we had to give second best to a very good Roscrea side that took the title on a 8-7 to 4-4 scoreline. Roscrea were the dominant team in the first half and built up a healthy interval lead. On the resumption, Tommy O’Meara was pushed forward into the attack and he spearheaded a much-improved second-half performance. We outscored Roscrea in that period but couldn’t reel them in. Congratulations to Roscrea. We wish them the best of luck in the County semi-final.

Team: Ciaran Foote, Tom Campbell, Tommy Gaynor, James Gould, Charlie Kennedy, Tommy O’Meara (2-0), Kallen Grace, Hugo Healy (0-2 frees), Stasik Setikas, Cormac Kennedy (0-2), Shay Óg Kennedy, Jack O’Meara, Gerard O’Looney, Andrew Austin (2-0), Paraic Nevin.
