In the second round of the North ‘A’ League, we recorded a 2-25 to 3-14 victory over Borris-Ileigh in MacDonagh Park. At the end of the third quarter, the game was evenly balanced with Kilruane four points ahead. Down the home straight, the Magpies began to put more daylight between the sides, and with time almost up the lead had been extended to eleven points. Borris-Ileigh scored their third goal in the 60th minute to leave MacDonaghs eight points clear when Christy Mcloughlin sounded the final whistle.
