Junior

In the first round of the Junior ‘A’ League, we came out the wrong side of a 0-28 to 2-14 scoreline against Éire Óg in Nenagh. The home side led by five points at the break, and heading into injury time, the same margin separated the sides. However, Nenagh added three points to emerge deserving winners.

Subs: Pat Conway, Jack Mulcahy, Jonathan Cahill (0-1), David Mooney, Tristan Madden, Declan Barrett (0-1), Eoin England. Seven subs are allowed in the League.

In the second round, we are at home to Toomevara this Saturday, 3rd June, at 7.00pm.

 

U17 Hurling

In the final round of the North/Mid League, we recorded a two-point victory over Lorrha Rovers in MacDonagh Park.

 

U11

We played Portumna in MacDonagh Park on Friday evening. We fielded two teams with each playing two games. Thanks to Portumna for travelling.

 

Cumann na mBunscol

Three teams from the parish are in action in the County Finals in Semple Stadium. On Tuesday, 31st  May, Kilruane NS U11 camogie team take on Upperchurch NS in the ‘C’ final at 9.10am while in the U11 ‘C’ hurling final Ardcroney NS U11s are up against Clerihan NS at 11.00am. On Wednesday, it is the turn of the Kilruane NS hurling team who face Mullinahone NS in the ‘D’ final at 12.20pm. Best of luck to the three teams.  

 

Celtic Challenge

Congratulations to Cathal England, Cian Moyles and the Tipperary U17 team on their 1-28 to 0-27 AET victory over Galway in the All-Ireland final in Birr on Saturday.

 

Cúl Camp

Once again, the club is running two Cúl Camps, 3rd to 7th July, and 17th to 21st July. The Camps are open to boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 13. There will be a week of action-packed  activities. Each participant will receive the Cúl Camp Kit pack, consisting of backpack, jersey and ¼ zip top. The cost is €75 for the first child; €60 for the second child; €50 for third and subsequent children. All booking is online at www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie

 

Bingo

The weekly Bingo session continues on Saturday night in the Fr. O’Meara Centre, Kilruane at 8.00pm. The jackpot now stands at €1,400.

 

Lotto
