Junior ‘A’
With the top spot in the group assured and a place in the final booked after three successive victories, MacDonaghs cemented their position as group winners with a 4-18 to 1-18 away victory over Borris-Ileigh. Alan Quinlan and his management took the opportunity to rest a few regulars to give game time to other panel members. Kilruane trailed 1-12 to 1-7 at the break, with the majority of the Borris-Ileigh scores coming from turnovers after over-elaboration by the Magpies. In the second half, more direct hurling by Kilruane paid dividends, and they turned a five-point half-time deficit into a nine-point victory, a fourteen-point swing.

We are now guaranteed a place in the semi-final where we will play Cashel. We led 3-10 to 0-11 at the break, and the same margin separated the sides at the final whistle.

Walkathon
Kilruane MacDonaghs has launched an exciting new community Walkathon Fundraiser, “40 Miles for 40 Years,” to mark the 40th anniversary of the club’s All-Ireland Club Championship victory and to invest in the future of the parish. The fundraiser will support the development of a new pitch and a 1km community walking track, facilities that will benefit the wider community for generations to come.
The club is calling on all members of the community — young and old - at home and abroad to get involved and support the campaign. Individuals, families, teams, and local businesses can take ownership of a mile and contribute through sponsorship and fundraising efforts. Anyone interested in participating or supporting the initiative is encouraged to contact any committee member for further details. The Walkathon will take place in early July with the date to be finalised.
