Allianz League
Well done to Craig Morgan and the Tipperary team on their victory over Clare in the final round of the Allianz League.
Senior
In the first round of the County League, we lost 0-19 to 0-17 against Drom & Inch in The Ragg. Manager Thomas Williams fielded a youthful side with five of the starting fifteen U19 and two more seeing action as substitutes. We hit the ground running and put the first three points on the board inside three minutes. John Campion got Drom off the mark with a free in the fourth minute. By the interval, the home side had forged into four-point lead with the scoreboard 0-12 to 0-8 in their favour. MacDonaghs took the game to Drom in the second period, and with three minutes of normal time left, the sides were tied on 0-17 each. John Campion slotted over his tenth point from a placed ball and another Drom point from play saw them claim a narrow victory.

Minor
In the first round of the County Hurling League, we lost to a stronger Roscrea side in St. Cronan’s Park. Players on County teams are not allowed play in this League so both teams played 13-a-side, as allowed by the regulations. We were badly hit by the absence of such key players as Tommy O’Meara, Charlie Kennedy, Hugo Healy and Jack O’Meara.
