Senior

In the first round of the County League we lost out by the minimum of margins to Éire Óg in Nenagh on a 1-14 to 1-13 scoreline. MacDonaghs had the first use of the wind and led by 0-9 to 0-6 at the break. The home side hit 1-2 in the early minutes of the second half but MacDonaghs dug in and kept in touch. A goal in the 58th minute by James Cleary brought the sides level. However, Killian Gleeson fired over the winning point for Nenagh in the 59th minute.

Minor Football

In the first round of the championship we travelled to Portroe and came away with both points. The home side enjoyed a four-point interval lead but MacDonaghs finished strongly to claim victory on a 5-5 to 2-6 scoreline. In the second round we are away to Newport on Sunday at 12.00.

 

Under 14

MacDonaghs lost out to a stronger Newport outfit in the first round of the Peil na nÓg competition that was played in Ardcroney.

 

Medal Presentation

The presentation of medals to the U21 footballers takes place in the Clubroom on Friday, 20th March at 9.30pm. Club President Len Gaynor will do the honours on the night.

 

Cúl Camp

The annual Kellogg’s Cúl Camp will be held in MacDonagh Park 6th to 10th July. The Camp is open to boys and girls aged 6 to 13 years. Cost: 1st child €60; 2nd child €55; 3rd and subsequent children €45.  All booking must be done online kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie

 

Table Quiz

Cloughjordan Community Games Committee is organising a Family Fun Table Quiz in St. Kieran’s Hall on this Saturday, 14th March at 7.30pm. Each year our hurlers participate in the competition and have claimed the County Title on three occasions. Your support for the Table Quiz would be appreciated.
