Kilruane MacDonaghs Notes June 10th 2020
GAA Road Map
The GAA Guidelines for Return to Play will see MacDonagh Park open Monday, 29th June. Small groups will be allowed to train from that date onwards. Full team training will commence on 20th July with club championships scheduled to recommence on 31st July. Inter-county competitions are pencilled in to start on 11th October.
In compliance with the published GAA Guidelines the club will be putting a plan in place for the commencement of training and the use of MacDonagh Park. Signage will be erected and hand sanitising facilities provided. The club will appoint Covid Supervisors and each team will have their own Covid Supervisor.
It is going to be a busy few weeks as we prepare for the resumption of training and games but everybody in the club is looking forward to meeting the challenges that lie ahead.
Lotto
After being suspended since 16th March the Lotto is set to resume on Monday, 22nd June with a Jackpot of €10,000 up for grabs. All tickets for the last Draw, which was cancelled, will be included in this Draw.
The Club is encouraging as many people as possible to do the Lotto online. More details in relation to the Online option will appear in next week’s notes and on our Twitter and Facebook Pages. Tickets will still be available from our regular promoters and will also be on sale in in Austin’s Centra, Murphy’s, Rohan’s and Sullivan’s.
Membership
Membership fees for 2020: Juvenile & Minors €30; Players over minor €100 –this includes Lotto subscription for the year; and non-playing adults €30. Players should pay their respective managers and supporters can join with any committee member.
Club Package
For just €200 you will have a full year’s Lotto subscription, entry to the Tipperary Draw as well as your membership. In effect, supporters who subscribe to this package will have free membership — a saving of €30. Supporters have the option of paying by direct debit.
Skills Challenge
The Healthy Club Committee would like to the thank the 68 young players who submitted 105 videos for our Skills Challenge. All entrants will be put into a draw for the new Kilruane MacDonaghs jersey. There will be two jerseys for the boys and two for the girls with some sliotars as consolation prizes. The draw will take place after the launch of the new jersey which will hopefully take place in July.
Sympathy
The club extends sympathy to: the family of the late Pa Maher St. Conlon’s Home and Rathurles; Susan O’Brien, Ballygibbon on the death of her brother Michael Kennedy, Carrigatoher and Knockanpierce, Nenagh; and the Ryan family, Ballyhogan, Carrigatoher on the death of John Ryan.
