Junior Football

Kilruane MacDonaghs play Diarmuid O’Mathunas (Cork) in the Munster Junior ‘B’ semi-final in Knockaderry, Limerick Eircode: V42WC61 on this Sunday, 26th February at 2.00pm. Admission is €10.

 

Inter County

Kian O’Kelly lined out at wing-forward on the Tipperary team against Kilkenny in the Dillon Quirke Foundation Challenge in Semple Stadium. He finished the game with three points to his name.

Fitzgibbon Cup

Congratulations to Cian Darcy, who was a member of the UL panel that won the Fitzgibbon Cup for the second year in a row.

 

Primary School Coaching

Best wishes to Kevin Naughnane, who commences coaching in the local Primary Scools this week.

 

North Tipperary Awards

The Annual North Tipperary Board Awards night was held in the Kilruane MacDonaghs Clubroom on Friday. Chairman Dave Carroll welcomed everybody to the function and congratulated all the winners. Club President Len Gaynor made the presentations. Congratulations to Niall O’Meara, who was named Overall Hurler of the Year. Ciara Reidy and Theresa O’Meara collected the award on Niall’s behalf. Well done to Eoin Hogan, who was named junior footballer of the year. In addition, Eoin was named Overall Footballer of The Year. The Darrel Darcy Trophy was presented by Sean and Nancy Darcy. Chairman Dave Carroll received the Club of the Year Award, the MacDonagh Trophy. The outgoing Kilruane MacDonaghs officers Chairman Joe Whelan, Secretary Martina Cleary, represented by Kay Cahalan and Treasurer John Mulcahy received presentations to mark the club’s achievement in winning the MacDonagh Trophy.

Thanks to all who helped in organising the function, the ladies who did the catering and the North Board for giving us the opportunity to host the function.   

Membership

Membership for 2023 is now due and should be paid using or new app ClubSpot, which can be downloaded in the App Store or Playstore by searching for “Kilruane MaCDonaghs GAA”.  The following are the fees: Adult Players over 18 – €100; Players U18 – €60; Non Playing Adults -€60. The club is also offering two very attractive Membership packages: Adult Package to include Tipperary Draw, Lotto & Membership - €200; and Family Package - €250 to include Tipperary Draw, Lotto & Membership.

For anyone buying the Membership Packages, you can input your Lotto numbers on to the App, and

they will be the numbers used going forward. If anyone has forgotten their Lotto numbers, they can

contact Sinéad (0879901826) or Martina (0879802128) to get them.

Dillon Quirke Foundation

The Kilruane MacDonaghs Club, in conjunction with Cloughjordan Drama Group, is hosting one final night’s production of “Separate Beds” in aid of the Dillon Quirke Foundation on this Thursday, 23rd February.  All proceeds will go to the Dillon Quirke Foundation. The tickets are sold out.
