Dinner Dance
The Kilruane MacDonaghs GAA & Camogie Club Dinner Dance will be held in Ashley Park House on Saturday, 11th January at 7.00pm. Medals will be presented to minor hurling & football teams and the U19 hurling & football teams. Presentations will also be made to Amy Quinlisk, Laura Shinners, Ava Gaynor and Ali O’Kelly who won All-Ireland medals with their respective Tipperary camogie teams. Special guest will be Tipperary and Lorrha hurling star Patrick “Bonner” Maher. Congratulations to the Kilruane NS U13 girls football team who made history by winning the County final with a victory over Rosegreen NS in Holycross.
Longford Manager
Congratulations to Diarmuid Cahill, who has been appointed Longford senior hurling manager. He had previously served as manager with both the Westmeath and Kildare camogie teams. Diarmuid was also part of the management team with the Ballinamere side, who reached the 2024 Offaly senior hurling final.

Bingo
The weekly Bingo session continues on Saturday night in the Fr. O’Meara Centre, Kilruane at 8.00pm with the Jackpot standing at €1,000.

The grand prize is a fully furnished home in Bregawn, Cashel, valued at €350,000. Alternatively, the winner can choose a cash prize of €300,000. Christmas Lights
Congratulations to electrician Tommy Rohan, who has looked after Cloughjordan Christmas Lights for the last 50 years. Tommy captained the Kilruane MacDonaghs minor football team to win the North final in 1970. He looks after all the electrical work in the Thomas MacDonagh Complex, and although domiciled in Birr for many years, he is one of MacDonaghs most faithful followers.
Window on the Past
The 1975 Annual General Meeting was held in Ardcroney Hall on Friday, 10th January. The following were elected: President Fr. Joe Hayes PP; Vice-President Fr. Liam Murray CC; Chairman Danny Gibson; Vice-Chairmen Paddy Quinlan and Des Gaynor; Secretary Tom Kirby; Assistant Secretary Michael Cahill; and Treasurer Mick Hennessy. Paddy Williams and Jim McLoughney were elected captain and vice-captain, respectively, of the senior hurling team. Dinny O’Meara was elected senior football captain with Jim Williams as vice-captain. The selectors of all teams were also elected. The membership fee was fixed at £1 for men and 50p for ladies.
Sympathy
The club extends sympathy to the family of the late Patricia Murray, Pound Street, Nenagh and to the family of the late Mary Watson, Lisnagower, Ballingarry.
