 Juvenile AGM

A record crowd attended the Annual General Meeting of the Juvenile Club on last Thursday night.  Attendees were presented with a very comprehensive report of activities during 2019. This report can be viewed on www.kilruanemacdonaghs.com

There was great debate and discussion on a variety of issues including maximising player participation, retention of players, recruitment of volunteers and further development of the club ethos. Positive and constructive suggestions from the floor helped make it a very successful gathering.

The following were elected: Chairman John Jones; Vice-Chairman Brian Gaynor; Secretary Yvonne Kennedy; PRO Gilbert Williams; Board Delegate John O’Meara; and Child Welfare Officer Yvonne O’Looney.

Great progress was made on the ratification of management teams for the different age groups. These will be finalised at a meeting in January.

Coaching Course

The Juvenile Club will be running a Foundation Course in January. This will cater for new volunteers who wish to become involved with teams and it will also serve as a refresher course for all existing juvenile coaches.

Adjourned AGM

Thursday, 10th January has been penciled in for the Adjourned AGM of the senior club with proceedings commencing at 8.00pm.

Football

In 2020 our minors will be playing in the ‘B’ championship while our U21s participate in the ‘A’ championship. Both of these competitions will commence in January.

Munster Council Grant

We have received a grant of €7,959 from the Munster Council for our Astro Turf Development. Carmel Daly was presented with the cheque at the County Convention in Thurles on Monday night. We had already received a grant of €33,000 from Tipperary County Council in 2018. Both of these grants helped put a large dent in the cost of this development. Thanks to club members who successfully processed both applications.

MacDonagh Park

In the interests of Health & Safety dogs are not allowed in any part of the grounds in MacDonagh Park. Thanks for your anticipated co-operation in regard to this matter.
