We made our exit from the North championship after a 2-18 to 0-21 loss against Borris-Ileigh in Nenagh. A brace of goals from James Devaney (12th and 23rd minutes) separated two evenly-matched sides.

Junior ‘A’
A 2-19 to 2-12 victory over Ballinahinch in Puckane secured a semi-final spot. Ballinahinch were on top in the early exchanges and led 0-7 to 0-2 after twelve minutes. The situation could have been worse, but Kevin Naughnane denied Ger Grace a goal with a point-blank save. MacDonaghs got a foothold in the game in the fourteenth minute when Conor Doheny finished to the net after Shane McGrath had saved an effort from Michael Hennelly. At the interval, Kilruane led 1-7 to 0-8.
The selectors introduced Darragh Peters for the second half and he was very influential. In the forty-first minute a goal for Ballinahinch tied up the game at 1-10 each. The Magpies responded with a long-range free from Kevin Naughnane and a green flag from Michael Hennelly. Although, we lost a man overboard in the fiftieth minute, we controlled the closing stages to emerge deserving winners.

Junior ‘B’
We kept in the hunt for a quarter-final spot with a 5-24 to 0-18 away victory on Templederry. We led 3-14 to 0-10 at the interval. Eleven players got on the scoresheet.

In the third round of the ‘A’ championship we had a hard-earned 5-19 to 3-17 victory over Burgess in MacDonagh Park.

Under 15
In the fifth round of the ‘A’ championship, we had a 4-11 to 3-11 victory over Silvermines in MacDonagh Park. A pair of green flags from Lukah Williams to clinch victory. We are away to Ballina this Thursday, 7th August, at 7.30pm. Our second team proved too strong for Durlas Óg in MacDonagh Park.
Under 11
Last Saturday morning, we hosted Ballina for two very enjoyable games.
Arrabawn Tournament
Jack O’Meara lined out on the Tipperary U15 team that overcame Cork in Tallow while Tadhg Teefey and Senan O’Leary played on the Tipperary team that had an away victory over Clare.
Tipperary Draw
The Tipperary Draw has been launched. The new Draw has moved online. The first prize in the August Draw is €50,000 or a Ford Ranger Jeep. From September to May, the first prize will be €20,000, with a total prize fund of almost €500,000. The link to join the Draw is on our social media pages.
