Kilruane MacDonaghs Notes August 15th 2022
We play Nenagh Éire Óg in the County championship in the Ragg on Sunday at 12.30pm. After the traumatic game against Clonoulty this is going to be a very difficult assignment for the lads so it is very important that supporters travel in force and get behind the team. Admission is by ticket only. A tap and go system will also operate.
We chiselled out a 2-13 to 1-14 home victory over Newport in the quarter-final. There was very little between two evenly matched sides. We led by 2-6 to 1-7 at the interval with the goals coming from Jack Gleeson and Eoin Carroll.

On this Wednesday, 17th August we play a very formidable Moneygall/Clonakenny side in the semi-final in the Borrisoleigh at 7.00pm. Supporters are urged to get behind this team that has surpassed expectations to date. Admission is by ticket only. A tap and go system will also operate.
Our first team played out an exciting draw with Éire Óg in Nenagh. We scored 5-12 while the home team put 4-15 on the board. Our second team made home advantage tell with a 2-6 to 1-4 victory over Newport.
Both our teams enjoyed a great evening in the Aqua Splash, Dromineer on last Friday. A tremendous time was had by all on the water and the evening concluded with some very welcome refreshments.
MacDonagh Park was the venue for a Blitz on last Friday evening involving Newport, Ballinahinch and Kilruane MacDonaghs. Thanks to Newport and Ballinahinch for travelling.
The Tipperary Draw will commence on Friday, 2nd September. There is a €500,000 prize fund. In the next few weeks we will be canvassing the parish to enlist existing members and recruit new subscribers. This is a very important fundraiser for the club and we are confident that we will get the usual solid support from our members. A total of €16,200 was won by our subscribers in the last Draw.
Congratulations to Cillian Healy who played on the Tipperary U15 football team that had a 2-14 to 2-6 victory over Fermanagh in the Humphrey Kelleher Shield Final in Athlone on Saturday.
The Jackpot now stands at a very attractive €2,800. Tickets are available from the usual outlets or you can join on Clubforce.com. Thanks for your continued support.
The club extends sympathy to the Treacy family, Cloughjordan on the deaths of Bridie O’Connor (née Treacy) and Jimmy Treacy who both died in England.
