In the second round of the championship MacDonaghs (1-16) chiselled out a draw with Roscrea (0-19) in Moneygall. With the breeze at their backs, Roscrea were the dominant team in the first half but a goal from a Declan Barrett penalty just before the interval reduced the Roscrea led to three points. MacDonaghs hurled much better in the second half and led by two points deep into injury time. However, Roscrea levelled with the last two scores of the game for a deserved draw.
Juvenile
The U13s hosted Toomevara in the latest round with the visitors taking the points in both games. Despite a magnificent second half rally our U17s just came up short against Newport in Lacken Park.
