After last Sunday’s loss in the North Final attention now switches to the County championship against Nenagh in Toomevara on Sunday at 1.00pm. It was a good effort against Kiladangan who finished the stronger to take the title. Congratulations to Kiladangan who are worthy champions.

In the third round of the championship MacDonaghs take on Borris-Ileigh in Roscrea on this Friday, 28th August at 6.45pm. For the first time since 2013 we field a third adult team with the Junior C outfit away to Borris-Ileigh on this Sunday, 29th August at 6.00pm.

Both of our U15 teams participated in the Féile on last Saturday. The first team travelled to Killenaule where they were edged out by a point I each game against Moyle Rovers, Carrick Sawn and Moycarkey-Borris.  The second team were based in Templemore. In the group game they lost out to JK Brackens. In the semi-final they got the better of Thurles Gaels but gave second best to JK Brackens in the final.

Our U7s were in Puckane on Saturday morning where they played a number of enjoyable games against Kiladangan. Our first and third U11 teams had victories over Burgess in Kilcolman. The U13 teams had mixed fortunes against Roscrea in St. Cronan’s Park. The home team came out on top in the first game while MacDonaghs prevailed in the second game.
