Inter County

Commiserations to Craig Morgan and the Tipperary team on their loss against Limerick. Best of luck to the team and management as they attempt to get their season back on track against Waterford.



In the fourth round of the County League, we lost 2-24 to 1-21 against Moycarkey Borris in Littleton.

We led 1-11 to 0-13 at interval with Aaron Morgan finding the net in the twenty-fourth minute. On the resumption, two Willie Cleary frees gave MacDonaghs a two-point cushion. A Moycarkey goal in the thirty-fourth minute brought the sides level.  With forty-two minutes gone, Kilruane trailed by a point, but a second Moycarkey goal put them in the driving seat,and they emerged deserving winners.

In the final group game, we are at home to Holycross Ballycahill on the weekend of 12th May.  



In the final round of the County League, we recorded a 2-17 to 1-16 home victory over Cashel. We led 1-12 to 1-6 at the interval, with the goal coming from Cathal England in the 22nd minute. The visitors had the better of matters in the third quarter and edged ahead. Heading into injury time, MacDonaghs had a slender one-point lead, but a goal from Cormac Mannion sealed the victory.

In the North League, we are away to Kiladangan this Wednesday, 1st May, at 7.00pm.


Tipperary Academy

Tadhg Teefey, Tarla Doris, Lukah Williams and Shane O’Meara played with the North Tipperary U14 teams that played Offaly in Dr. Morris Park. Mark Cleary was injured while Senan O’Leary was unavailable.


Cumann na mBunscol

Well done to the Kilruane NS U13 camogie team who qualified for the County semi-final by winning their Blitz in Ballinahinch. They will play Ballyporeen NS in the County semi-final.



Congratulations to Ali O’Kelly, Ava Gaynor and the Tipperary minor team on their victory over Waterford in the All-Ireland final.


Cúl Camp

MacDonagh Park will host two Kelloggs Cúl Camps. The first Camp is scheduled for 1st to  5th July with the 2nd Camp running from 15th to 19th July. The cost is 1st child €75, 2nd child €50, 3rd and subsequent children €50. Each participant in the Camps will receive a jersey, ¼ Zip top and backpack. Booking is now open on


Quid Game Fundraiser

Our Quid Game Fundraiser takes place on Friday, 10th May, in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh.  This fundraiser is crucial in raising funds for our development plans for a 1km community walking track and a second playing field for our growing number of members.

Over 40 contestants will compete in 6 rounds of games to try and win a massive €10,000 cash prize to be divided between their chosen charity/club (€7,000) and themselves (€3,000).  Our contestants are busy fundraising to compete in the games, and the top fundraiser will receive a bye into round 4, and the next 5 fundraisers will receive a Golden Ticket into Round 3. We would encourage all our members to attend on what promises to be a very entertaining night. The weekly Bingo session continues on Saturday night in the Fr. O’Meara Centre, Kilruane at 8.00pm. The jackpot is now a very attractive €1,700.


Community Games

Cloughjordan Community Games athletics and field events will take place in MacDonagh Park on Sunday, 12th May. Registration is at 3.00pm. The cost of entering is €3 per child. Events include sprints, hurdles, middle distance races, ball throw, long puck and shot putt. There will be fun races for U6s, Mums and Dads.
