A 5-13 to 1-10 away victory over Portroe secured a home semi-final spot against Borris-Ileigh this Thursday, 27th April, at 6.45pm. A strong start from MacDonaghs, with goals from Charlie Kennedy and Paraic Nevin plus accurate free taking from Hugo Healy, meant we went in at half time 2-7 to 0-four points up. Andrew Austin, moved outfield from the goals, helped himself to 2-1 with Gerard O'Looney also raising a green flag in the second half. To their credit, a young Portroe team were on top for periods of the second half, but the result was never in doubt, and MacDonaghs booked their place in the North Semi Final.
