Junior ’A’

In the second round of the North League, we recorded a 2-20 to 1-12 away victory over Nenagh Éire Óg. Seven of the starting fifteen are U21 and two more were introduced. The teams were level on 0-10 each at the interval.  A Nenagh goal from Darragh Walsh in the thirty-ninth minute put them three clear. However, MacDonaghs took control of the game after that, and Nenagh failed to score for the remainder of the game. Goals from a Páidí Williams free (42 min) and Michael Hennelly (55 min) proved to be the decisive scores. A dominant defensive display laid the foundation for victory while Brian O’Meara excelled in the attack, hitting five points from play and five from placed balls.
