Congratulations to Craig Morgan, the Tipperary team and management on the magnificent victory over Cork. Craig joins an elite group of parishioners who have won senior Celtic Crosses: Jim Dwyer 1877 (Thurles); William Spain 1889 (Dublin); Jimmy Cleary 1917, 1920 (Dublin); Tom McLoughney 1961, 1962; Len Gaynor 1964, 1965, 1971;  Mark O'Leary 2001; Seamus Hennessy 2010; Brian O'Meara 2010; Niall O’Meara 2016, 2019; Jerome Cahill 2019; and Cian Darcy 2019.

The club would like to thank all who flew the Tipperary colours in support of Craig and the team. Seldom, if  ever, has the parish witnessed such an explosion of colour.

 

Senior

In the first round of the North championship, we play Nenagh Éire Óg, in Dolla on Sunday, 27th July,  at  6.00pm.

 

Junior

In the fourth round of the ‘A’ championship, we play Borris-Ileigh  in MacDonagh Park this Friday, 25th July, at 7.15pm.

 

U19

In the first round of the ‘A’ championship, we are away  to Nenagh this Wednesday, 23rd July, at 7.15pm.

 

U15

In the third round of the ‘A’ championship, we recorded a 5-17 to 4-14 victory over Ballinahinch/Templederry in Templederry. In the fourth round, we play Toomevara in MacDonagh this Thursday, 24th July, with the time to be confirmed.

 

Cúl Camp

Seventy-five children attended our second  Cúl Camp in MacDonagh Park last week.

Thanks to head coach Cian Moyles and  his assistant coaches Ava Gaynor, Orlagh Cleary, Johnny Naughnane (Kilruane MacDonaghs), Isabelle Kingston, Sadbh Fogarty, Ellen Seymour (Kiladangan) and Tommy Gleeson (Nenagh). They got invaluable help from club members Clodagh Conroy, Katie Calahan and Gerard O’Looney. Thanks to parents  Fiona Ryan, Sinéad Springer, Eimear White, Pauline Lillis and Helen O’Meara who assisted with the supervision. Thanks to Michael Hogan and  the members of the CEC

scheme who had the facilities in pristine condition each day. Co-ordinator Michael

O’Meara ensured that everything ran smoothly during the week.

 

Tipperary Draw

The Tipperary Draw has been launched. The new Draw has moved online. The first prize in the August Draw is €50,000 or a Ford Ranger Jeep. From September to May, the first prize will be €20,000, with a total prize fund of almost €500,000. The link to join the Draw is on our social media pages.

 

Lotto

The Jackpot next week is €2,800. Tickets are available from the usual outlets, or you can play on Club Spot. Thanks for your continued support.

 

Bingo

The weekly Bingo session continues on Saturday night in the Fr. O’Meara Centre, Kilruane at 8.00pm with the Jackpot standing at €1,150.

 

Sympathy

The club extends sympathy to the family of the late Annette Doheny, Ballythomas, Ardcroney.
