Minor Football
Congratulations to Karl Williams who has been selected the 2017 North Tipperary minor footballer of the year. Karl will receive his award at the North Tipperary Presentation Night in Ballinahinch Community Hall at 8.00pm on this Friday.
Adjourned AGM
The Adjourned AGM will be held in the clubroom on Friday, January 19th at 8.00pm. All the management teams will be announced at that meeting. All club members are invited to attend.
Presentation
The presentation of medals to the minor footballers will take place in the clubroom on Friday, 2nd February. League medals will also be presented to both the senior and junior hurlers on that night.
Membership
Membership fees are now due: U6, U8 and U10 €10; U12, U14, U16 and U18 €30; players over minor €50 and non-playing adults €30. Subscriptions are now due. Players should pay their respective managers and supporters can join with any committee member. Players can only participate in games when membership fee is paid. There is absolutely no exception to this. All paid-up subscribers will receive a specially designed club-membership card. Non-playing adults, who join the club, will be put on text list. Paid-up members can also apply for match tickets.
Membership Package
Supporters can avail of a very attractive membership package which is now on offer from the club. For just €200 you will have a full year’s Lotto subscription, entry to the County Draw as well as your membership. In effect, supporters who subscribe to this package will have free membership — a saving of €30. Supporters have the option of paying by direct debit.
County Draw
Congratulations to Michael Torpey, Borrisokane who won €200 in the County Draw. Michael was joined with promoter Michael Cahill.
Handball
The North Tipperary 40x20 juvenile handball finals were played last weekend in Nenagh with Lahorna well represented in both the boys’ and girls’ competitions. Jack Mulcahy had a tough game against his Ballina opponent and won narrowly while Rory Grace also came out on top against Ballina. The girls celebrated Nollaig na mBan in style as Sarah and Aoife Williams, Clodagh Shinners, Katie Mulcahy, Lucy Gould and Leanne Gould, Christine Percy and Hannah Grace all had very good victories in their age groups while Anna Mulcahy and Áine Spain lost out in U16 doubles.
