Juvenile AGM
A very constructive Annual General Meeting of the juvenile club was held on last Friday night with a healthy attendance reviewing 2016 and making plans for 2017. The following were elected: Presidents, Fr. Enda Burke, Tom McLoughney and Len Gaynor; Chairman, Michael O’Meara; Vice-Chairman, Seán Ward; Secretary, Yvonne Kennedy; PRO, Gilbert Williams; North Board Representative, John O’Meara. The following management teams were appointed: U16 - Thomas Williams (Manager), Declan Barrett and Christy Morgan; U14 - Alan Carroll (Manager), Jimmy Cahill and Niall Shinners; U12 - Michael O’Meara (Manager), Martin Cahalan, Michael O’Neill and Eddie Coonan; U10 - John Jones (Manager), Mick Cleary, Cathal McIntyre, Eoin Kennedy, Niall Healy and Ray Quinlivan; U8 - Martin O’Looney (Manager), Mark O’Leary, Peter Hennelly, Joe Whelan and Liam Grace; U6 - Brian Gaynor (Manager) and Colm Williams with others to be co-opted at the next meeting.
Child Welfare Course
The juvenile club is organising a Child Welfare Course in the clubroom on this Thursday, 26th January at 6.45pm. This course is mandatory for all coaches and mentors who are involved with underage teams or with adult teams that have minors on the panel. Level 1 Coaching Course
A Level 1 coaching course in hurling commences in the clubroom on Thursday 2nd March, concluding on 30th March. We hope that all our juvenile coaches will attend. Those who have already completed the course are also encouraged to avail of this opportunity to refresh their coaching skills.
Auction & Social Night
The club is organising a Monster Auction & Social Night in the Abbey Court Hotel on Saturday, 4th March. A General Meeting of all club members will be held on this Wednesday night, 25th January at 8.00pm to further preparations for this major fundraising venture.
Harty Cup
Best wishes to Jerome Cahill, Craig Morgan, Mark O’Neill and the Nenagh CBS team in the Harty Cup semi-final against Templemore.
Membership
The following membership fees will apply for 2017: adult players €50; non playing adults €30; juveniles and minors €30. Membership cards are now available. The deadline for renewal of membership is 31st March. Membership is compulsory for all players, both juvenile and adult.
Club Package
The following special €200 club packages offer savings to all our members: (1) Adult players can join the weekly Club Lotto, County Draw and renew membership for €200; (2) Non playing adults can join the Club Lotto, County Draw and renew membership for €200; (3) Parents of juveniles will be given one annual Club Lotto and one County Draw subscription plus family membership for €200. In effect, all who avail of these packages will have free membership in addition to annual Lotto and County Draw subscriptions. A family of two adults and two juveniles can make a saving of €120. Anybody availing of this package will be entered into a draw for two All-Ireland hurling tickets.
