Parish League
The club enjoyed a fantastic display of Camogie this weekend at the finals of the Parish League in Cloughjordan. The crowd was treated to a great display from our girls in both the Shield Final and Cup Final. Both Finals delivered great scores, striking, saves and determination from all our U8s/u10 girls.  In the end, the Reds came out on top in the Shield Final after a hard battle with the Yellows. The Cup Final was thrilling with both teams neck an neck for most of the game. Both goalkeepers pulled off vital saves but in the Green team were victorious. The Orange team fought to the bitter end. Many thanks to our u8 & u10 trainers for their hard work throughout the year, to chauffeuring and supportive parents, to Joe Cahill for refereeing the finals, to Jerome Cahill for presenting the girls with their medals and sliotars afterwards, to the hurling club for gifting flags to the girls, to McSherry Jewellers for sponsoring the medals and to all who helped out with catering on the day. Based on this years Parish League performances the future is very bright for Kilruane MacDonaghs Camogie Club!

Despite a very good second half performance our u12s were beaten by a strong Annacarty side 3-4 to 1-1. Kilruane scorers: Ali O'Kelly (1-0), Sarah Williams (0-1).

Thanks to Moneygall for inviting us to an u15 Blitz last Saturday. Kilruane made it to the final despite being down some players. The girls put in a great preformance but hosts Moneygall won out in the end. A great day was had by all!

Congrats to club girl Kate Ryan on her achievements with the Tipperary U14 team in recent months. Over the summer Kate has competed in blitzes in all over Ireland including Clare, Dublin, Munster blitz, Kilkenny, Tipperary blitz as well as the All Ireland Blitz at the weekend. Having clocked up a personal tally of 5-21 in total Kate is certainly flying the Kilruane flag with style - watch this space!
