U-21 Hurling
The u-21 hurlers booked their place in the semi-final with an away win against Nenagh Eire Óg. Team: Ger Corcoran, Freddie Williams, Martin Walsh, Pádraig Kelly, Gavin McAvinchey, Eoin Hogan, Liam Gibson, Seamus Hennessy, Shane Quinlan, Brian O Meara, Thomas Williams, Declan Barrett, Pat Conway, Ray McLoughney and Mikey Costello. Subs: Timmy Walsh and William Cleary.
Parish League
The parish league got off to a great start in MacDonagh Park last Saturday. In the first game Tipperary, captained by William Ryan, finished well to overcome the Cork team led by Mark Tierney. In the second game captain Stephen Cleary led by example as his Kilkenny side proved to strong for Galway, skippered by Tomás Hogan. Thanks to Dan Darcy who refereed and to caretaker Pat Williams who had the pitch in excellent order. On next Saturday Tipperary play Kilkenny and Galway face Cork.
U-14 Hurling
The u-14 hurlers were beaten by Toomevara in the semi-final of the Féile on a 1-4 to 0-4 scoreline.Team: Anthony Spillane, Aidan Boyle, Patrick Ryan, Conor Austin, Anton Banaghan, Jack Peters, Jack Banaghan, Raymond Kelly, Stephen Cleary, Sean Cleary, Kieran Cahill, Tomás Hogan, Dean O Meara, P.J. Cleary and Andrew Brennan. Sub: Bob Dooley.
Junior Hurling
The junior hurlers play Toomevara in the second round of the league in MacDonagh Park on this Thursday evening at 6.30 p.m.
Senior Hurling
The senior hurlers play JK Brackens in the semi-final of the county league on this Sunday in Moneygall at 12 noon.
Summer Camp
The annual Cúl hurling and camogie Summer Camp takes place in MacDonagh Park Monday July 7th to Friday July 11th inclusive. The camp is open to primary school pupils aged 7 to 13. Each participant receives a jersey, shorts, socks and togs. The cost is €55 for the first child €100 for two children and €135 for three children. Application forms have been circulated through the local primary schools and should be returned as soon as possible.
Meeting
The monthly meeting of the club committee will be held in the clubroom on this Friday night April 18th at 8.30 p.m. All committee members have been notified and are requested to attend.
Tipperary Draw
The new Tipperary draw commences on Friday May 2nd. Promoter Joe Cahill is presently canvassing the parish for subscribers. Last year we had a record number of members and expect to have increased membership for the new draw. Joe can be contacted at (087)1305064.
Membership
A final reminder to players and supporters that membership is now due for renewal. The cost is €40 for adult players, €20 for non playing adults and €10 for juveniles.
Sympathy
