Kilruane MacDonaghs will play Burgess in Kilcolman in the first round of the Challenge Cup on Sunday, March 1st at 12 o’clock.
Juvenile Training
After the winter hibernation, juvenile training is now in full swing. The U16s, U14s and U12s have already resumed. The U10s return on next Monday, March 2nd at 7.00pm in the Complex. The U8s will soon be back in action. Parents will be kept informed by text.
Juvenile Meeting
A meeting of the juvenile committee will be held in the clubroom on Thursday, March 5th at 8.00pm. All juvenile selectors are requested to attend.
Concert
The club is staging a concert in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh on this Thursday, February 26th, commencing at 8.30pm. We have been very fortunate in securing the services of the following artists: legendary trumpeter, Johnny Carroll; the ever-popular Trudi Lalor; TG4 Glór na Tíre winner, Annette Doyle; well-known Limerick singer, Muriel O’Connor; and hilarious comedian, Paul Malone. The musical director on the night is Tipp FM’S, Fran Curry. This event should appeal to music enthusiasts all over North Tipperary and further afield. Tickets cost €15 and can be purchased from the following outlets: the Abbey Court Hotel; Tipp FM in Nenagh; Austin’s, Centra, Cloughjordan; and O’Sullivan’s, Ardcroney. Handball
The Munster juvenile handball finals were held in Nenagh on Sunday. In the U14 doubles, Matthew Spain and Sean Hayes had a good win against Cork: 14-15, 15-13 and 15-2. In the U16 doubles, Sean McAdams teamed up with John McGrath against Cork. Sean and John played very well but Cork won 21-18 and 21-10. James Loughnane, Rory Grace and Jerome Cahill all lost out narrowly at the semi-final stage to Clare two weeks ago.
