Medal Presentation

The presentation of the divisional medals to the U-21 hurlers and the O Riain Cup medals to the senior hurlers takes place on this Friday Mach 19th in The Complex at 8.00 p.m. The Kilruane MacDonaghs junior hurling team of 1960 which won the county title will be guests of honour on the night. The function will have a punctual start and will not be delayed to facilitate latecomers.

Remember the Team

The Kilruane MacDonaghs junior hurling team which overcame Moycakey- Borrris on a 3-2 to 2-2 scoreline to win the county final in Borrisoleigh on Sunday December 18th in 1960 lined out as follows: Tommy O Brien, Billy Boyle, Liam White, Tim Cahalan, Frank Diamond R.I.P. (Capt), Paddy O Dwyer, Mick Fahy R.I.P., Mick Murphy, John Heenan (0-1), Mikey O Brien, Jim Hensey, Liam Tierney (0-1), Paddy Ryan (1-0), John Ryan (1-0) and Joe Burns (1-0). Subs: Danny Gibson (used), Jim Casey, Sean McLoughney, Pat McCarthy, Gerry Hough R.I.P., and John Conroy.

Indoor Training

The indoor hurling sessions continue in The Complex with numbers increasing by the week. On Monday nights the U-8s swing into action at 6.30 p.m., followed by the U-10s at 7.30 p.m. and finishing with the U-16s at 8.30 p.m. On Tuesday nights the U-12s take to the floor at 7 o clock. The U-6s have a 10 o clock start on Saturday morning.

Feile

The U-14 hurlers have been drawn away to Borris-Ileigh in the quarter-final of the Feile. The game has to be played by April 10th.

Club Lotto

Congratulations to David King Bulfin Crescent Nenagh who won the €3,750 jackpot in the Kilruane MacDonaghs lotto. The jackpot resumes at a very attractive 3,000. The club would like to thank our loyal subscribers and promoters for their steadfast support. Lotto tickets cost €2 each with three available for €5.

County Draw

Congratulations to Ciara O Brien Templemore Road who won €300 in the recent county draw.

Membership

The March 31st deadline for membership renewal looms ever nearer. The fee for 2010 is €40 for adult players, €20 for student players and non playing adults and €10 for juveniles. Membership is compulsory for all players.

Summer Camp

The annual hurling and camogie Cul Camp is scheduled to begin on Monday July 5th in MacDonagh Park. This professionally run camp will be open to all boys and girls aged seven upwards. Application forms will be available later in the month.

Sympathy

The club would like to extend its sympathy to Marion Farrell Main Street on the death of her father.
