Minor Hurling

In their final group game the minor hurlers lost out by a point to Roscrea in MacDonagh Park on a 4-11 to 3-13 scoreline. This defeat deprived them of a place in the knockout stages. MacDonaghs led by four points at the break but Roscrea made an impressive start to the second half and forged four points clear. A Thomas Cleary goal galvanised Kilruane into action and they edged three points ahead as time ebbed away. However, uncertainty in the home defence resulted in a Roscrea goal and they hit the winner from a free. Team: Robert Ward, Niall Murphy, Eanna Hogan, PJ Cleary, Alan Darcy, Justin Cahill, Keith Kelly, Morgan Conway (0-1), David Reddan (0-4), James Sullivan (0-1), Thomas Cleary (1-1), Eoin Williams, Ronan Boyle (0-1), Niall O Meara (2-5) and David Willliams.
