 Senior Hurling

The senior hurlers play Kildangan in Nenagh on this Friday at 8.00 p.m.

U-12 Hurling

The U-12 hurlers chalked up their second successive victory when they overcame Toomevara in MacDonagh Park on a 3-4 to 0-2 scoreline. First half goals from Willie Ryan and Kevin Shinners helped MacDonaghs to a six point interval lead. In the second half the teams were evenly matched and the game was delicately balanced until Rory McCarthy raised a green flag for the home side to ensure victory. The next round is home to Roscrea. Schools Hurling

Kilruane N.S. were out muscled in the county final in Semple Stadium by a physically powerful St. Mary’s N.S. from Clonmel on a 5-5 to 3-0 scoreline. Despite the enormous disparity in physical strength Kilruane took the game to their opponents and edged themselves into an early two goal lead. St. Marys fought back and led by the a goal at the break. Kilruane ran out of steam in the second half but the battled bravely to the end and lost no honour in defeat. Team: Conor Lillis, Arran Conroy, Caolainn Conroy, James Cleary, Jake Morris, Kieran Lillis, Declan Elderfield, Craig Hilmi, Craig Morgan and Alanna Morris. Schools Camogie

Kilruane N.S. defeated Powerstown N.S. in the county final in Semple Stadium on a 7-1 to 1-0 scoreline. Kilruane had a four point advantage at the interval and powered to victory with a tremendous second half display. Alanna Morris was in devastating form at full forward and there were also magnificent performances from Lianne O Kelly, Maria Hogan and Holly O Brien. Team: Grace O Brien, Lianne O Kelly, Maria Hogan (capt). Laura Tierney, Katie Quinlisk. Simone Rotani, Emma Kenneally, and Alanna Morris (7-1). Primary Game

Congratulations to Holly O Brien Kilruane N.S. who played on the Tipperary Primary Game camogie team in Limerick last Sunday. Holly plays her club camogie with Nenagh Eire Og.

U-16 Hurling

The final of the Dan O Meara U-16 hurling tournament between Kilruane MacDonaghs and Shinrone takes place in MacDonagh Park on this Thursday at 7.00 p.m.

U-8 Hurling

The U-8 hurlers travelled to Ballinderry last week and played three enjoyable mini games against Shannon Rovers. Next on the agenda is a game against Upperchurch-Drombane. The selectors will contact parents with the details.

MacDonagh Park

On next Sunday evening MacDonagh Park hosts an intermediate and senior championship double header. With a 6.30 p.m. throw in for the first game stewards should be present at 5.15. We had a tremendous turn out the last day and we anticipate a similar response from the committee on this occasion. Secretary Kay Cahalan will be in contact with all the committee members before Sunday.
