Senior
MacDonaghs take on Thurles in the county semi-final in Semple Stadium on this Sunday, 11th October at 1.30pm. This is a monumental challenge for the team but one they are capable of overcoming. They will need every supporter there to drive them over the line. Nobody outside the parish gives us a chance but MacDonaghs will revel in the underdogs tag.

Under 8
MacDonaghs hosted Nenagh Éire Óg for an entertaining encounter in MacDonagh Park last Saturday.

Under 6
The U6s brought the curtain down on a hectic season with their final session in the Complex on last Friday. Niall O’Meara was in attendance and he presented each player with a medal. Refreshments were served as both players and parents had an enjoyable evening. Thanks to the coaches for all their work during the year.

Juvenile Fundraiser
The juvenile club is organising a major fundraising raffle. Tickets are now on sale and we hope that all our supporters will row in behind this venture. The draw will take place at a Table Quiz in Bomber’s Bar on Friday, 30th October. There will be an auction after the Table Quiz. Thanks to all who have already donated items for the auction. If you have any item, big or small, which can be legitimately turned into cash please contact Michael O’Meara 087-2474768, Gilbert Williams 087-2176452 or any member of the juvenile committee.

Best Wishes
The club extends best wishes to our vice-president, Fr. Tom Hannon who has retired as parish priest. Fr. Hannon served as a senior selector in 2004, in 2006 he was mentor with the U14 team that won the divisional title and he also worked with the U16 side. In 1979 he captained Kinnitty to win the Offaly county senior hurling final.

Sympathy
The club extends sympathy to Carmel Austin, Knocknacree on the death of her mother.
