Junior
In the first round of the championship MacDonaghs lost to Kildangan by 5-9 to 0-11 in Toomevara. James Cleary was an absentee through injury but the game saw the welcome return of Eoin Hogan who acquitted himself very well both at midfield and centre-back. In general play there was very little between the sides but Kildangan’s greater craft in the forward division enabled them to create and take goal opportunities. Team: Conor Doheny, Colm Williams, Brendan McAdams, Páidí Kelly, Martin Grace, Conor Austin, Caoilainn Conroy, Eoin Hogan (0-4), Alan Darcy, Aidan Boyle (0-4), Robert Austin, David Williams, Bob Dooley, Jonathan Cahill (0-1) and Finnian Mannion. Subs: Tom Dooley and Pat Conway (0-2). Kilruane now face Burgess in a crucial game in Puckane on this Saturday, 25th July at 7.00pm.
