Senior
The senior hurlers overcame Cashel in the second round of the county championship in Borrisoleigh on a 4-33 to 0-7 scoreline. MacDonaghs seized the initiative from the start and hit 1-4 without reply before Cashel opened their account. At halftime the score was 2-17 to 0-4. On the resumption, Kilruane struck three wides and Cashel raised their fifth white flag. After that it was all one way traffic as MacDonaghs tacked on 2-16 while Cashel replied with a point.

Kilruane MacDonaghs take on Roscrea in the first round of the North championship on the weekend of May 11th.

League Final
Best wishes to Tipperary team in the National League Final. Unfortunately, injury will probably rule Niall O’Meara out of the game.

Minor Hurling
Best of luck to Darragh Peters, Cian Darcy and the Tipperary minor team in their game against Clare on this Wednesday.

Junior
The junior hurlers are away to Borris-Ileigh on this Saturday at 7.00pm.

Under 14
The U14 footballers lost out away to Newport on a 4-5 to 2-5 scoreline. They trailed the home side by a point at the interval. In a battling second half performance MacDonaghs got their noses in front and with five minutes to go were still ahead. However, they ran out of steam and Newport struck for two late goals to take the points. Team: Jack Dunne, Kieran Spain, Mark O’Neill, Louis Kennedy, Patrick Hayes, Cian Spillane, Dylan Moran, Sean McAdams (1-1), Owen Usman, Eoin England, Kian O’Kelly (1-2), Matthew Moyles (0-1), Conor Quinlan, Jack Dwan and Devlin Courtney (0-1). Subs: Matthew Spain, Aaron Morgan and Páidí Williams. On this Wednesday evening Kilruane MacDonaghs are at home to Burgess at 6.30pm.

Under 12
The U12 ‘A’ football team qualified for the North final with a hard earned 3-4 to 2-3 home victory against Toomevara. Team: Kevin McDonald, Colm Cleary, Cormac Doheny, Shane McAteer, Aaron Morgan (0-1), Ciaran Coffey, Páidí Williams, Nathan Lynch (1-1), Rory Grace (1-0), David Sullivan (1-2) and Eoin O’Meara. Subs: James Loughnane, Oisín Williams, Kevin Naughnane, Paul O’Neill, Barry Shanahan and Oisín Carroll. In the final, which is expected to take place this weekend, Kilruane MacDonaghs will play Inane Rovers.

Parish League
Conor Quinlan captained Kyle to victory against the Ninety Eights in the Parish League final last Saturday. Cormac Doheny led the Gorry Rangers team that edged out the De Wets in the Plate final. Juvenile chairman, Sean Ward presented the trophies to the winning captains and he also presented a sliotar to all the players who participated in the Mini League. Thanks to all coaches who ran the very successful leagues.

Clothes Collection
The juvenile club is organising a clothes collection on Thursday 22nd, Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th of May. There will be collection centres in the MacDonagh Complex in Cloughjordan, Fr. O’Meara Centre in Kilruane and the Community Hall in Ardcroney. Collection times will be 1.30pm to 3.00pm each day. Please donate all your clean unwanted clothes, also bed linen, towels, curtains, shoes, belts and soft toys. This is a painless and environmentally friendly way to provide much needed funds for the juvenile club.

Summer Camp
The annual Cúl Camp is scheduled for June 30th to July 4th in Thomas MacDonagh Park. This year the camp will have the usual 10.00am start in the morning but finish at the earlier time of 2.00pm. Application forms will be distributed through the schools.
