Juvenile Presentation
The U16 and U14 hurlers were presented with their medals at a very successful function in the Thomas MacDonagh Complex on last Friday night. Guest of honour was Tipperary legend Brendan Cummins while David Needham, Games Promotion Officer, was also in attendance. Sean Ward, chairman of the juvenile club, welcomed everybody and he thanked the players, selectors, parents, the senior club and all who helped make 2013 a very successful year for Kilruane MacDonaghs. Brendan Cummins commended the players on their achievements and emphasised the importance of maintaining their commitment to the club. Presentations were made to the following selectors: Sean Ward, Ned Darcy, John Hyland, Johnny Peters, Thomas Williams, John Cahill and Gilbert Williams. Under 16 player, Kevin Shinners also made a presentation to each member of the U16 management team. Thanks to all the parents who helped prepare and decorate the hall and to Brian O’Farrell and his staff who served up a sumptuous meal. A special word of thanks to Michelle Shinners and Mary Peters who took photographs which can be viewed on the website. An U14 medal was left in The Complex. Contact Gilbert Williams.
