Senior

The seniors play Nenagh Éire Óg in the second round of the championship on Sunday April 28th at 1.30pm. Venue to be confirmed.

 

Junior

The B team is away to Ballina on this Friday at 7.00pm while the A team travel to take on Borris-Ileigh on Saturday at 6.30pm.

 

Minor Hurling

Darragh Peters lined out at corner back on the Tipperary minor hurling team which defeated Waterford in the first round of the Munster championship.

 

Under 21

Commiserations to Niall O’Meara who was on the Tipperary U21 football team which had to give second best to Cork in the Munster final.

 

Senior Football

Niall O’Meara, Jonathan Cahill, Kieran Cahill and Justin Cahill played on the Thomas MacDonaghs team which defeated Fethard in the first round of the county championship. Conor Austin was also introduced.

 

Under 12 Football

The U12 teams played Kildangan in Puckane on last Friday. In a goal fest the A team came out the wrong side of a 10-6 to 8-8 scoreline. Interviews for a defence coach are being held this week. Team: Páidí Williams, David Sullivan, Kieran Spain, Louis Kennedy, Kian O’Kelly, Dylan Moran, Matthew Moyles, Aaron Morgan, Conor Quinlan, Shane McAteer and Matthew Spain. Subs: Sam Darcy and James Loughnane. The B team were edged out by Kildangan on a 2-0 to 0-2 scoreline. Team: Pádraig Coonan, Eoin O’Meara, Paul O’Neill, Cormac Doheny, Barry Shanahan, Oisín Carroll, Colm Cleary, Kevin McDonald and Ben Cahalan.

 

Under 14 Football

The U14 footballers lost out at home to Inane Rovers in the second round of the championship. Without the services of Jerome Cahill, Ben Healy, Oisín O’Meara, Nathan Ryan and Eoghan Mulcahy they were on the back foot from the start. Despite a spirited performance by MacDonaghs, the result was never in doubt. Team: Jack Dunne, Owen Usman, Mark O’Neill, Cian Spillane, Kian O’Kelly, Jake O’Kelly, Jack Dwan, Tommy Dooley, Sean McAdams, Alan Spain, Craig Morgan, Eoin England, Devlin Courtney, Luke Dervan and Kevin Oakley. Committee Meeting

The monthly meeting of the club committee will be held on Thursday April 25th at 8.30pm. The later starting time should facilitate a full attendance of members.

 

County Draw

The launch of the New County Draw is imminent. Promoters will be doing a forensic trawl of the parish in the coming weeks to reenlist existing subscribers and to recruit new members. The club has produced a special brochure which will be distributed to supporters.

 

Handball

Congratulations to Sean McAdams and Matthew Spain who were on the Tipperary U12/13 team of six who overcame Monaghan 66-65 in the All-Ireland semi-final in Roscommon. Tipperary went on to defeat Wexford 75-76 in the final.

 

Jack & Jill Foundation

Kilruane N.S. is holding a No Uniform Day on this Thursday April 18th in aid of the Jack & Jill foundation. Anybody who would like to make a donation to this worthy cause can leave their contribution into the school.
