Féile na nGael
The U14 hurlers are away to Borris-Ileigh in the preliminary round of the Féile on this Saturday February 23rd at 2.30pm.
Peil na nÓg
The U14 footballers have a home draw against Inane Rovers in the first round of Peil na nÓg.
Under 12
On Monday March 18th the U12 hurlers will travel to play Salthill/Knocknacarra before attending the Tipperary and Galway League match in Pearse Stadium. Salthill/Knocknacarra is the adopted club of Tipperary manager Eamon O’Shea.
Fitzgibbon Cup
Eanna Hogan lined out at wing-back and Niall O’Meara was wing-forward on the Mary Immaculate College team which defeated GMIT in the Fitzgibbon Cup. They now face DIT in the quarter-final.
Club Semi-Final
Well done to Dinny Cahill who coached St. Thomas to victory in the All-Ireand club hurling semi-final against Loughiel Shamrocks.
Interprovincial Hurling
Brian O’Meara lined out at full-forward with the Munster senior hurling team which defeated Ulster in the M. Donnelly Interprovincial semi-final in the Athletic Grounds Armagh.
Tipperary Captaincy
Congratulation to Shane McGrath on his appointment as Tipperary senior hurling captain and to Brendan Maher who has been selected as vice-captain.
Committee Meeting
The monthly meeting of the club committee takes place on this Thursday February 21st at 8.00pm. All committee members are requested to attend.
Membership
Membership is now overdue and should be paid to the respective managers. Players can only participate in games when their membership fee is paid. Non playing adults can join the club for €20 and will automatically be put on the club text list. They can also apply for match tickets and avail of 10% discount at the Sportsmans Dream on the production of a valid membership card. In addition all adult players and members will be entered into a draw for two County Draw subscriptions 2013/2014, and one annual Club Lotto subscription. This draw will take place at the committee meeting in March. The club text list will be updated on March 31st to include only paid up members.
County Draw
As the current County Draw heads into the final furlong promoters and subscribers are reminded to bring all payments up to date.
Bag Packing
The annual juvenile Bag Packing takes place in Dunnes on Friday August 23rd and Saturday August 24th. It is hoped that all families who have juvenile players lining out with Kilruane MacDonaghs will help out on one of the days.
Handball
Congratulations to Cormac Doheny and James Loughnane who had a great victory in the final of the North Tipperary B championships played last Saturday in Nenagh. The boys were playing U11 doubles versus Ballinahinch.The only game to finish level on the day required a tie break, where the boys took the game to their opponents and persevered to win 11-9.
Sympathy
Sympathy is extended to Majella Banaghan on the death of her brother John Martin Newtown and to the Cahill family on the death Sr. Augustine Cahill, formerly of Kyle.
