Under 12

The U-12 B hurlers took part in the County End games in Littleton last Saturday. In the quarter-final they overcame Carrick Swans on a 0-3 to 0-1 scoreline. All scores came in the second half, with Luke Morkan, Cian Spillane and Páidí Williams (free) on target. In the semi-final MacDonaghs got the better of Moyne-Templetuohy on a 4-0 to 0-1 scoreline. A goal from a Páidí Williams free gave MacDonaghs an interval lead. In the second half a brace of green flags from Sam Darcy and another from Conor Quinlan helped book a place in the decider against Roscrea. MacDonaghs gave it their best shot in the final but Roscrea proved too strong and emerged winners on a 4-2 to 0-2 scoreline. Scorers: Sam Darcy (0-1) and Páidí Williams (0-1 free). Under 16

The U-16 hurlers had a comfortable home victory against Lorrha in the fifth round of the championship. This win keeps them in contention for a semi-final spot. However, much stiffer obstacles loom on the horizon, with three crucial games to come. Team : Niall Shinners, Arran Conroy, Kieran Brereton, Ciarán Spillane, Jack Farrell, Caolainn Conroy (Capt), Conor Lillis, James Cleary (0-5), Kieran Lillis (1-1), Conor Doheny ( 0-1), Rory McCarthy (1-6), Cian Darcy (1-4), Darragh Peters (0-6), Keelan Troy (1-0) and Jerome Cahill (0-3). Under 6

Kilruane MacDonaghs, Lorrha and Silvermines participated in a blitz in Dolla, organised by the host club. MacDonaghs had twenty three players, who were divided into three teams, with each playing three games. Under 8

The U-8s also travelled to Dolla on the same evening. They had two teams involved in a blitz, which also featured two teams from Silvermines and one from Lorrrha. Thanks to John Mulcahy and Alan Carroll who looked after these teams.

Junior

The junior hurlers take on Burgess in the quarter-final of the championship.The game is scheduled for this Friday in Nenagh at 6.00pm. Check fixtures for confirmation. Last year the sides clashed at the same stage, with Burgess coming out on top.

Camogie

Congratulations to the Kilruane MacDonaghs junior camogie team who defeated Drom-Inch to win the county league title.

All-Ireland

Applications for All-Ireland hurling tickets must be made to Michael Cahill 0505-42234 by this Thursday August 30th. The club has a very small allocation of tickets for distribution.

County Draw

Congratulations to Maria Corcoran Derrinclare who won €200 in the county draw.

Sympathy

The club would like to extend its sympathy to Conor Kelly on the death of his father. Conor is a member of the U-16 panel. Sympathy is also extended to Bridget Delaney Carrigatoher on the death of her mother and the Farrell family Ballinveney Toomevara, on the death of Joan Farrell.
