AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the Kilruane MacDonaghs club will be held in the Thomas MacDonagh Complex on Friday January 13th at 8.00 p.m. It will be preceded by Mass for deceased members at 7.30 p.m. in Cloughjordan Church.

Juvenile AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the juvenile club takes place in the Thomas MacDonagh Complex on Friday January 20th at 8.00 p.m.

Juvenile Presentation

The presentation of medals to the U-12 and U-14 hurlers is scheduled for Friday January 27th at 8.00 p.m. in the Thomas MacDonagh Complex. The U-14 hurlers were North Feile champions and the U-12 hurlers retained their county title. The U-10 hurlers, who had a very successful season, will receive a special presentation at the function.

Table Quiz

The Kilruane MacDonaghs Camogie club is holding a Table Quiz in Ardcroney Hall on Friday December 30th at 8.00 p.m. A table of four costs €20. Your support would be appreciated.

Thomas MacDonaghs

The presentation of medals to Thomas MacDonaghs, county senior football champions, takes place in the Thatch Ballycommon on Friday December 30th. Stephen Murphy, Brian O Meara, Niall O Meara, Ray McLoughney, Freddie Williams and Niall Murphy were all part of the successful squad, while Pat Murphy was a selector. Guest of honour is John Evans, the manager of the Tipperary senior football team. Tickets cost €10 and are available from Pat Murphy 0879631432. Admission can also be paid on the night. Refreshments will be served.

Club Calendar

The Kilruane MacDonaghs calendar is still available in the local shops and can also be purchased from any committee member or adult player. It contains a varied selection of photographs from 2011, including the U-10, U-12, U-14, U-21 teams and U-14 camogie team. It also features some stunning action shots from past and present games.

Juvenile Reunion

A reunion of the Kilruane MacDonaghs U-15 team which won the North final in 1951 is planned for the New Year. The diamond jubilee celebration is expected to take place in the Thomas MacDonagh Complex in early March. The date will be finalized at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

Lotto

The club Lotto jackpot continues its upward climb and now stands at €5,300. Tickets cost €2 each with three on offer for €5. The next draw takes place on Monday January 2nd in Graces.

Scrap Metal Collection

Ardcroney Community Field committee is organising a scrap metal collection to fund ongoing development of the facility. Kilruane MacDonaghs second pitch, which is used continuously throughout the year by various club and camogie teams, is located there. Its maintenance and development are of crucial importance to the club. The committee will collect a variety of metal, iron or steel items including machinery, cars, bicycles, gates, radiators, barrels, containers and utensils. No item is too big or too small. You can contact George O Leary 0871222816, Kay Cahalan 0879059592 or Philip Heenan 0872887830 who will arrange collection of donated items. The deadline for collection is January 14th. Note that non metallic items will not be accepted.

Sympathy

The club would like to extend its sympathy to the Cawley family Knockaspur Cloughjordan on the death of Maureen Cawley and to the Mounsey family on the death of Stephen Mounsey Knockshegowna.
