Junior Hurling
The junior A hurlers lost out to Burgess in the quarter-final on an 0-18 to 0-14 scoreline. They led by a point at the break but Burgess edged ahead early in the second half and maintained the advantage to the end. Thanks to the players and management for their efforts during the year.
Minor Football
Well done to the Tipperary minor football team which defeated Roscommon in the All-Ireland semi-final. Pat Murphy is a selector with the side.
U-16 Hurling
The U-16 hurlers defeated Roscrea in the final group game in St. Cronans Park. They are now involved in a three way play off with Roscrea and Newport, with two teams qualifying for the semi-final. Kilruane MacDonaghs play Roscrea in the first playoff game.
U-12 Hurling
The U-12 hurlers have qualified to take part in the County Blitz in Semple Stadium. This takes place in on Friday September 2nd .
U-8/U-10 Hurling
The U-8 and U-10 hurlers played Borrisokane in two enjoyable challenge matches in MacDonagh Park.
County Representation
Darragh Peters and James Cleary are on the Tipperary U-14 hurling panel for the Tony Forristal tournament while Stephen Cleary is part of the U-16 squad.
All-Ireland Tickets
Applications for All-Ireland tickets from fully paid up members only must be with Michael Cahill by Wednesday August 24th. As demand will exceed supply the club will not be in a position to facilitate every application. Those fortunate enough to secure a ticket from the club must collect same by Thursday Sept 1st. Any tickets uncollected by this date will be reallocated.
All-Ireland Draw
The county Board has organised a draw for the All-Ireland training fund. The top prize is a two week trip for two to Australia with the Irish team in October and the second prize is an All Star tour for two to San Francisco in November. There are a total of twelve prizes. Tickets costing €10 each are available from club officials.
