Junior Hurling

The junior hurlers had their second successive win in the championship when they overcame Ballina in Nenagh on a 3-19 to 1-10 scoreline. MacDonaghs had wind advantage in the first half and two goals from Declan Barrett helped build up a healthy halftime lead. Ballina reduced the deficit in the second half but a goal from Pat Conway helped secure the points. James Keogh sustained a broken collarbone in the second half and will be a long term absentee. The club wishes him a speedy recovery. In the third round Kilruane will face Borris-Ileigh. Lotto

Minor Hurling

The minor hurlers begin their campaign with an away game against Toomevara on Wednesday July 7th at 7.30 p.m.

U-8 Blitz

Portroe, Ballina, Ballinahinch and Kilruane MacDonaghs participated in the U-8 blitz last Saturday in MacDonagh Park. Thanks to the U-8 selectors who organised the blitz and to caretaker Pat Williams who had the pitch and complex in mint condition.

Junior C Hurling

The junior C hurlers are at home to Burgess in the first round of the championship on Wednesday June the 16th, followed by an away game against Toomevara, a home encounter with Nenagh, a trip to Puckane to take on Kildangan, a fifth round clash with Shannon Rovers in MacDonagh Park and the final group game against Ballinahinch in Shalee.
