 U-21 Hurling

The U-21 hurlers advanced to the second round of the championship when they just edged out Nenagh Eire Og in Toomevara on a 1-18 to 2-14 scoreline. MacDonaghs trailed by seven points at the break and twice in the second half they fell eight points in arrears. However, they kept plugging away and hit 1-6 without reply in the final ten minutes to snatch victory .They play Burgess in the second round on this Friday in Nenagh at 4.30 p.m. Team: David Reddan, Freddie Williams, Eanna Hogan, Paudie Kelly, William Cleary, Seamus Hennessy, Pat Conway (0-1), Kevin Ryan (0-1), Justin Cahill, Declan Barrett (0-1), Jonathan Cahill, Niall O Meara (0-1), James Williams, Brian O Meara (1-10) and Ger Corcoran (0-3). Senior Hurling

The senior hurlers lost out to Moycarkey-Borris in the first round of the county league on a 2-20 to 0-12 scoreline. Kilruane opened brightly and notched the first three score but faded as the game wore on and a much sharper home side deservedly took the points. On this Sunday they have a home tie against Loughmore-Castleiney. Junior Hurlers

The junior hurlers open their league campaign with a home game against Burgess on Easter Monday at 4.00 p.m.

U-8 Hurling

The U-8 hurlers hosted Toomevara last Saturday. Two very enjoyable games were played with Kilruane MacDonaghs looking resplendent in their new jerseys.

U-10 Blitz

On this Saturday the club hosts the second of the U-10 hurling blitzes which are being organized county wide. Toomevara, Roscrea, Moneygall and Kilruane MacDonaghs will participate with the first games beginning at 10 o clock

Parish League

The annual Parish League will commence on Saturday April 17th. All boys from third class upwards are eligible to participate.

Hurleys

All hurleys for repair should be given to David Reddan. The club will continue to subsidise juvenile hurleys which will now cost €10.

Membership

Club members can now avail of a 10% discount on their purchases in the Sportsman Dream. A current membership must be produced to avail of this discount.

Child Welfare Course

A Child Welfare Course will be held in the clubroom on Tuesday April 22nd. This course is mandatory for all coaches and selectors who are involved with under age teams.

Juvenile Fixtures

The U-14 footballers are at home to Borrisokane on this Wednesday at 6.30 p.m. and the U-12 footballers take on Inane Rovers in MacDonagh Park on Friday at 6.30 p.m.
