 U-14 Hurling

In the third round of the championship the u-14 hurler were beaten away by Nenagh Eire Óg on a 1-11 to 1-5 scoreline. Nenagh led by two points at the interval but MacDonaghs went into the lead early in the second half thanks to an Aidan Boyle goal. With five minutes to go the sides were deadlocked but Nenagh hit 1-3 without reply to take the points. Team: Anthony Spillane, Willie Ryan, Abhain Coleman, Jack Farrell, Kieran Brereton, Conor Cleary, Caoilainn Conroy, Sean Cleary, Bob Dooley, Finnian Mannion, Kieran Lillis, Aidan Boyle (1-5), John Healy, Tomas Hogan and Cormac Boyle. They now play Kildangan in a crucial game in MacDonagh Park on this Thursday evening at 6.30 p.m.

U-12 Hurling

The u-12 hurlers were beaten away to Nenagh Eire Og on 0-9 to 1-2 scoreline. MacDonaghs trailed by a point at the break but drew level in the second half when Sean Quinlan whipped the ball to the net. Nenagh finished with a flourish and were deserving winners. Team : Niall Shinners, Arran Conroy, Rory McCarthy, Brendan McAdams, Roisin Cahill, Willie Ryan, Kieran Brereton, Cian Darcy (0-1), Jerome Cahill (0-1), Paul Guidera, Declan Elderfield, Tommy Dooley, Martin Grace, Kevin Shinners and Sean Quinlan (1-0). Sub: Cormac Mannion.

U-6 Hurling

The U-6 hurlers travelled to Birr on last Friday evening and had a great game against the home team. On this Saturday morning they make the shorter journey to Nenagh to play Eire Óg. Parents will receive notification by text.

U-16 Hurling

The u-16 hurlers play their opening round in the championship away to Toomevara on Monday evening July 13th at 6.30 p.m.

Coaching

We had a fantastic turnout last Saturday in MacDonagh Park for the weekly coaching session. On next Saturday we expect a full attendance of all u-8, u-10 and u-12 panels at 11 0 clock. Any selector who cannot attend is expected to arrange cover in their absence.

Junior Hurling

The junior hurlers take on Burgess on this Monday July 13th in MacDonagh Park at 8.00 p.m. in the third round of the championship.

Minor Hurling

Due to Tipperary’s involvement in the Munster final, the minor hurling game against Borris-Ileigh has been rescheduled for Wednesday July 15th in MacDonagh Park at 8.00 p.m.

Summer Camp

The Cúl Summer Camp is now in full swing this week in MacDonagh Park with ninety one participants in attendance.

Munster Final

Best wishes to Seamus Hennessy, Eamon O Shea, John Casey and the Tipperary team in the Munster senior hurling final. Best of luck also to manager Mark O Leary and the Tipperary minor team.

Meeting

A meeting of the club committee will be held in the clubroom on this Friday July 10th at 9.00 p.m. All committee members are requested to attend.

Congratulations

Congratulations to John Casey and Mariola Plonka who were married in Poland last Sunday. John is phsyio with the Tipperary senior hurling team and always puts his expertise at the disposal of Kilruane MacDonaghs players in all grades.

Sympathy

The club would like to extend its sympathy to the Mulcahy family Ardcroney on the death of Margaret Mulcahy, the Ryan family Ardcroney on the death of Mary Ryan and Kathleen Teefy Ardcroney on the death of her brother Mick O Meara.
