Senior Hurling:
The senior hurlers made a winning start to the county league when they had a home win against Upperchurch – Drombane on a 2 – 15 to 1 – 12 scoreline. Upperchurch had the use of the wind in the first half and lead by two points at the break. It took MacDonaghs a long time to get into their stride but a goal from Michael Costello helped tilt the balance in favour of the home side. A second goal from Seamus Hennessy helped to seal victory.

Junior Hurling:
In the first round of the junior hurling league Kilruane MacDonaghs have been drawn against Kildangan. Lorrha, Moneygall and Roscrea are also in the group.

Minor Football:
Kilruane MacDonaghs play Nenagh in the first round. Inane Rovers, Lorrha and Borris-ileigh complete the group. The top team qualifies for the final with second and third facing each other in the semi-final.

Indoor Training:
Indoor training is now in full swing in the complex. The U/12’s are on at 7.00p.m. on Monday’s, followed by the U/16’s at 8.00p.m. On Tuesday nights it’s the turn of the U/8’s at 6.30p.m. with the U/10’s in action at 7.30p.m. The U/14’s train on Thursday nights at 7.00p.m.

Summer Camp:
The VHI Cúl Summer Camp commences on Monday July 9th in MacDonagh Park and finishes on Friday July 13th. The first child in a family costs €55, the second €45 and the third €35. Each participant in the camp will receive a jersey, shorts, socks and gear bag. The Jersey will be a replica of the Irish jersey which was worn against Australia. Application forms are being distributed through the schools.

Sympathy:
The club would like to extend its sympathy to the O’Connor Family Carriganagh on the death of Tim O’Connor.
