Senior Hurling
The senior hurlers drew with Moneygall in the third round of the championship. The final group game will be against Burgess on June 22nd.
Minor Football
The minor hurlers qualified for the semi-final of the championship when the reversed the group result and came out on top against Shannon Rovers Gaels in Lorrha on a 4-10 to 1-5 scoreline. MacDonaghs had first use of the strong wind and took full advantage of it to build up an eleven point lead at the interval. A brace of goals from David Reddan and another from Brian O Meara proved to be crucial scores. Backed by the elements Rovers enjoyed more possession but couldn’t rise the necessary green flag. MacDonaghs finished strongly and a goal from Eoin Williams sealed the issue. In the semi-final Burgess will provide the opposition. Schools Hurling
Kilruane N.S. qualified for their seventh North hurling final with a 5-9 to 3-2 victory against Carrig N.S. in Puckane. A good first half performance laid the foundations for victory. In the final they will play the winners of the Ardcroney and Roscrea game. Team : Cormac Mannion, Caolainn Conroy, Darragh Peters, Tomás Hogan, Conor Nevin, Finnian Mannion, James Cleary, Stephen Cleary, Cillian Finn, John Healy and Kierean Lillis. Subs: Alanna Morris, Tommy Dooley, Craig Morgan, Craig Hilmi and Sean Quinlan.
Coaching
There was a great attendance at last Saturdays hurling coaching session. Thanks to Chtisty Morgan and his team of Stephen Murphy, Michael Costello and Freddie Williams who conducted the session. Next week Michael o Neill and his team will be on duty.
Summer Camp
The annual Cúl hurling and camogie summer camp commences in MacDonagh Park on Monday July 7th. The camp is open to all primary school children aged seven to thirteen years. Each participant receives a jersey, shorts and gear bag. The cost is €55 for one child, €100 for two children and €135 for three children. Tipperary Draw
The new Tipperary Draw commences on Friday May 30th. There is a €3/4 million prize fund. Each week there are twenty five prizes including two cars. The draw is a major source of income for the club. The subscription to the draw is €100. This can be paid by direct debit. Promoter Joe Cahill 087-1305064 is currently is currently canvassing the parish and is receiving a great response from existing members and new subscribers.
Match Tickets
Tickets for the Tipperary and Cork match must be ordered from Michael Cahill by this Sunday and must be collected the Thursday before the game.
