Parish League
The second round of the parish league was held in MacDonagh Park last Saturday. In the opening game Cork captained by Andrew Brennan overcame Waterford skippered by Paddy Ryan. In the second game Tipperary led by Jack Peters beat Aidan Boyle’s Limerick. Thanks to Dan Darcy who refereed both games. The third round will be played next Saturday with the top two qualifying for the final and third and fourth contesting the plate final. Joe Cahill will be the referee next Saturday.

Mini-Sevens

Kilruane N.S. participated in the county final of the hurling sevens in Castleleiney. Although failing to regain the title they last held in 2005 they had three very competitive games against Loughmore N.S. , Lisnarock N.S. and Templederry N.S. . Panel: Darragh Peters, Jack Banaghan, Tomás Hogan, Jack Peters, Stephen Cleary, Raymond Kelly, John Healy, Finnian Mannion, James Caleary, Kieran Lillis and Shaun Farrell.

Long Puck
Congratulations to Robert Ward who won the county final of the u-14 long puck competition in the Durlas Óg pitch last Saturday. He had qualified for the county final by winning the North final in Dolla.

Schools Hurling
The hurling championship commences this week with all three schools in action. Cloughjordan N.S. face Portroe N.S. , Ardcroney N.S. take on Gortgarry N.S. and Kilruane N.S. have been drawn against Moneygall N.S. .
Summer Camp

The annual Cúl hurling and camogie Summer Camp commences in MacDonagh Park on Monday July 9th and continues until Friday July 13th. The camp is open to boys and girls aged seven to thirteen . Application forms must be returned by Monday May 21st.

County Draw

The first draw takes place on Friday May 25th. Promoter Joe Cahill is getting a great reception on the doorstep and when returns are in it looks like the club will record its highest ever membership in the draw. The draw has a ¾ of a million prize fund and is a must for all Kilruane MacDonaghs supporters. Joe Cahill can be contacted at (087)1305064.
