The U12 team will contest the U12 Shield Semi-final against Cashel on this Thursday 25th in The Ragg Camogie Field at 7pm. All support appreciated.
Pride of place this week goes to the U14 team and management who represented our club so magnificently last weekend at Feile na nGael 2015 in Ulster. The team, management and families left Cloughjordan at 6am on Friday morning last for the long journey to their host club, Loughgiel Shamrocks in Co. Antrim. Kilruane played three matches in Division 1, defeating Dunloy of Tyrone and losing to St. Fiachra’s of Kilkenny and hosts Loughgiel Shamrocks. Kilruane advanced to the Shield Quarter final on Saturday and defeated Athenry on a scoreline of 1-06 to 1-03. The semi-final was played on Sunday morning in Owenbeg against Craanford/Moonaseed (Wexford) and Kilruane came out winners on a scoreline of 2-05 to 2-02 to qualify for the Division 1 Shield Final. Unfortunately, victory was not to be and Kilruane were defeated by Ballycastle in the final. To reach the Shield Final was a fantastic achievement for this bunch of players and a credit to our club, county and their families. Thanks to their hosts Loughgiel Shamrocks who looked after everyone so well. The team, management and families returned home late on Sunday night tired and exhausted but with great memories from a wonderful weekend in Ulster.
The U16 County Championship Semi-final v Annacarthy has been fixed for this Thursday evening 25th June in Dolla. All support appreciated.
Training continues weekly in preparation for the upcoming Championship which is expected to get underway in early August.
