Kilruane MacDonaghs Camogie News
At a recent committee meeting, the following management teams were ratified. Junior A: Pat Shanahan, Martin Tooher, Frances Cleary, Martin Walsh and Freddie Williams. U18: David Reddan, Thomas Williams and Lisa Cahill. U16: Philip Heenan, David Reddan, Liam O’Kelly, Paul Callan and Mel Callan. Helen Heenan was appointed as u14 manager for the year ahead and will put her managment team in place to be ratified at the next committe meeting. Names are still been taken for trainers for u6, u8, u10 and u12 teams. It is important that we get as many helpers in these age-groups as possible. Anyone interested in helping out should give their name to Noel Coonan or Ann O’Meara.
Frances Cleary, Paul Callan, Patricia Costello and Peter McCarthy will make up the club’s newly formed Finance Committee. We wish them well in their new role, which will no doubt add huge value to the club.
A Basic Awareness Child Welfare course will take place in the club on Tuesday 19th February. It is recommended that all trainers/selectors working with players under the age of 18 should complete this training. Places are limited however and anyone interested should give their name to Child Welfare Officer Paula McSherry as soon as possible.
Best wishes to all the girls currently attending Tipperary u14 and u16 trials.
Well done to club members Orla Molloy and Laura Shinners on winning the schools’ County handball final last weekend. Best of luck to them in the Munster finals in Kerry on Saturday.
