Junior
It is important that all the junior panel keep up the training in preparation for the next championship match, which is fixed for Saturday 22nd September against Drom & Inch in Cloughjordan.
Under 18
Unfortunatley the first round of the u18 championship did not go ahead as planned this week. Training continues as normal. It is not yet known when this championship will start.
Under 8
Our large under 8 panel took part in another successful County Blitz in The Ragg on Saturday morning. Again Kilruane entered two teams. Many thanks to Pat Sheridan, County Development Officer, for all his work organising these blitzes during the year. There have never been as many matches organised for our younger players before. No doubt these will pay dividends in the years to come.
Under 6
Our under 6 panel have been learning the skills of camogie and enjoying the game over the summer months under the expert guidance of Siobhan O'Leary and Roisin Cahill. This bunch will go down in the history books as being the first ever under 6 team in Kilruane MacDonaghs Camogie Club. It is hoped to have a match for this panel over the coming weeks. Watch this space!
Car wash
For this Sunday 16th September Keith Deane has kindly donated his car wash business on Limerick Road, Nenagh to fundraise for the club. Please come along on the day to have your car washed and support the club at the same time.
Cow dung competition
All club members should now have received their cards for our 'cow dung competition'. The format of this is that the field is marked into a numbered grid and members are selling each square for 2euro. Then a cow is let loose on to the pitch and wherever her 'Droppings' drop that square will win. The 8 squares around it will also receive a prize. Please support the club by pledging just 2euro. It is bound to be an entertaining event.
Poker Classic
The club will host a Poker Classic in Nenagh Golf Club on Sunday October 21st. Any spot prizes for the night can be given to Chairman Noel Coonan in advance.
